Short Loans
Items in high demand may be used in the Library for a maximum of

Inter-Library Loans
This service forms part of the national and international inter-library loans network, allowing participating libraries to borrow and lend material according to their own lending criteria.

- Study facilities may be restricted to CPUT students during peak demand

- Short Loan items: In-library use only
- Subject reference services available if required
- No access to Knowledge Commons, Research Commons, or seminar rooms
Borrowing (CHELiN Borrowers)
- Registration upon presentation of referral letter from home library
- Loan period: 14 days
- Loan quota: Students (2 items), Staff (3 items)
- Fines apply for overdue and short-loan materials
- Replacement costs apply for lost or damaged items
